Built in 1936, the Palmer Park Wading Pool is a 12,400-gallon wading pool with depths measuring up to about 2 feet, making it ideal for toddlers and young children (up to age 8). Two mini whale slides adorn the pool along with an adjacent mushroom water feature. This pool situated next to the accessible Camden Playground within Palmer Park. The pool area is fenced in and is surrounded by a large grassy area and lots of shade trees, perfect for a picnic lunch or a snack from the concession stand. The pool has lifeguards on duty but adult supervision is required. Daily admission can be paid at the neighboring concession stand, and season passes are available. Group rates can be arranged in advance. Palmer Wading Pool is available to rent for private parties from 9 AM to 12 PM daily.
