Located about 15 miles southwest of Janesville, Beckman Mill contains a restored grist mill dating from 1868, along with a dam, mill pond, fish ladder, nature trails, blacksmith shop, gift shop, visitor center and much more. The mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is maintained by the Friends of Beckman Mill. The grounds are open year round, and guided tours of the mill are available for individuals, families and small groups on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 PM, May through October (the gift shop is also open during this time). Larger group tours are available with advanced reservations.
