Perched on top of Courthouse Hill, Jefferson Park is at the center of one of Janesville's oldest historic districts. A marker indicates the location of Janesville's first high school, built where a former cemetery stood. For those interested in architecture of 1850 - 1900, this park is a good starting point to a self-guided walking tour. It contains a unique play piece - a pre-cast concrete ping pong table.
