Riverside Park is 87 acres and runs along the beautiful Rock River, with three scenic overlooks, picnic areas, pavilions that seat 100 to 200 people and have grills, and boat launches for boating and fishing. The Ice Age Trail runs through the park, featuring the Devil's Staircase portion of the trail. Recreational facilities include an accessible splash pad (open from mid-May to mid-September), Kids' Zone play area, horseshoe pits, a kids' zipline, disc golf course, and shuffleboard, tennis and pickleball courts. In the winter, enjoy sledding and cross country skiing. A map of the park can be found here and you can take a virtual tour of the park here. A concession stand, operated by the Friends of Riverside Park and located near the shuffleboard courts on the north end of the park, is open seasonally on weekends. The north end of the park is closed off during the winter. Both the North and South Pavilions can be rented with a beer/wine permit. Click here for pavilion rental and beer/wine permit information or contact the City of Janesville Parks Division.
The Riverside Park Splash Pad season is mid-May through mid-September, open daily 10 AM to 8 PM.
