Grand Opening of the Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center
The Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center is set to open its doors in the summer of 2025, bringing a new level of excitement and opportunity to Janesville. This state-of-the-art facility will feature expansive spaces designed for sports tournaments, expos, corporate meetings, and community gatherings. With flexible event spaces, modern amenities, and a prime location, the Woodman’s Center is ready to become a premier hub for events and activities of all kinds.
Spring Construction Start for the Children’s Museum of Rock County
Excitement is building as construction on the Children’s Museum of Rock County is set to begin this spring! The museum promises to be a hub of educational fun with interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and engaging programming designed to spark curiosity and innovation in kids. Once completed, it will offer endless opportunities for families to learn and play together, all while fostering a deeper connection to the community.
Brand New Palmer Park Wading Pool
Construction is in full swing at Palmer Park, where a brand-new wading pool is being built to enhance summertime fun for the whole community. This modern addition will feature a zero-depth entry design, aquatic play structures designed for interactive fun, and limited lap lanes. This new wading pool is expected to open in time for the summer season.
New Businesses
We’re excited to welcome some new businesses already slated to open in 2025!
In downtown Janesville, Little Sister Crepe Shop will feature food, drinks, and pastries inspired by Asian street food like Thai tea & coffee, bubble waffles, Korean shaved ice, stuffed waffles, and even build-your-own crepes. Janesville’s southside will be welcoming the Santa Maria Supermarket – complete with a butcher, bakery, grocery selection, and a small taqueria. National chains like Raising Cane’s and Cousin’s Subs will also be opening new locations in Janesville.
