The opening of Janesville’s NEW Woodman’s Center is coming up soon in late summer/early fall of 2025! Wondering what will be possible in the space? Here are 10 event ideas that could be possible at the Woodman’s Center.

1: Company Meetings & Industry Conventions
Planning your next company sponsored event has never been easier. Hold your next company meeting or industry convention in the Multi-Use/Conference Space or Multi-Purpose Arena. This space could include a main stage for presentations as part of the up to 50,000 square foot combined space to welcome employees, stakeholders, or partners. The possibilities for tradeshows and breakout spaces are endless!
2: Indoor Food Stand Festival
Imagine strolling through the Woodman’s Center in the middle of winter at indoor food stand festival, where local restaurants and cooks have come together to create a “Taste of Janesville” experience. Attendees could wander and taste their favorite flavors whether it’s a spicy street taco, a decadent bite of cheesecake, or a refreshing craft soda, while listening to talented local artists perform on the main stage in the Multi-Use/Conference Space.
3: Concerts
Want to see your favorite artists perform locally in Janesville? No need to worry about cancelling due to bad weather. Enjoy an indoor music concert with local or national talent right in your back yard in the Multi-Use/Conference Space or Multi-Purpose Arena! With a great set, a main stage, and plenty of space, you are sure to have a great time.
4: Hockey Tournaments
It can be a challenge to host hundreds of spectators, let alone find a venue that has accessible ice for players. With the Mercyhealth Arena and the seasonal ice rink in the Multi-Purpose Arena, people will have access to year-round skating -matching up to game regulations and a capacity for 1,500 spectators and 250 spectators, respectively. It’s the perfect space for a little friendly competition!
5: Dance Competitions
With solid hardwood floors and 25,800 square feet of space, the Multi-Use/Conference Space is perfect for attending and hosting dance competitions in the area. For competitors, locker rooms will be available for use along with warm up spaces in the Multi-Purpose Arena. For Coaches, a coaches office space is available for meetings and leisure during the event.
6: Bike Expo
Attend a bike expo in the Multi-Use/Conference Space or Mult-Purpose Arena to enjoy your favorite sport all year round and connect with other biking lovers.
7: Indoor Movie Night
Sometimes, a relaxing, fun movie night is severely needed. Enjoy a cinematic experience on a big screen projector at the Woodman’s Center in the Multi-Use/Conference Space or Multi-Purpose Arena. Grab a blanket, fresh popcorn at the in-house concessions stand, and your closest friends for a fun night!

9. Interactive Game Nights

Fun theme nights might include an ‘80s Retro Night, where you can groove to classic hits and show off your best neon attire, to a whimsical Disney Night where kids and adults alike can skate alongside beloved characters.
